Is Subway really a healther choice for fast food?

Subway has a healthier menu. Looking at the total fat of several 6" sandwiches, most have less than five grams of fat and less than 400 calories.

Subway can be healthier, but you still need to watch what you choose. For example, if I had a 6inch turkey breast & black forest ham on wheat bread with only lettuce, tomatoes, green peppers, and cucumbers, then I would only consume 4 grams of fat. However, if I added cheese, mayonnaise, and a side of doriots, my meal now contains 33 grams of fat.

Subway is healthier if you watch what you put on as condiments. Some of the toppings add up to the same amount of fat as a sandwich from Arby's has.

Subway has a larger variety of healthy choices. Most of the items that you put on it do not add a lot of fat or calories

Michael Phelps can probably handle all those extra calories from the bread, but he swims them off quickly.

Subway has a larger variety of low-fat "filling" options.
